Frequently Asked Questions

Here you'll find the most common questions asked and get a little idea on what to expect during your lash appointment. If you have any further questions which have not been answered, then please do not hesitate to get in touch.

How long does an Eyelash Extension appointment take?

A full set of lashes generally takes around 3 hours. Infills take 1 to 2 hours. It's important to allow yourself enough time for the appointment to take place.

How do you get the most out of your Eyelash Extension appointment?

The most important things you can do are to arrive in plenty of time and free of make-up. You want Lauren to be lashing throughout the whole appointment. Not wasting time cleaning off makeup. Turn your phone on silent and ensure you have visited the bathroom prior to arrival.

What to expect during your Eyelash appointment?

If you’ve followed all of the lash day prep steps properly then there’s very little you need to do during the actual appointment. You’ll be lying back with your eyes closed for the duration. So just stay as still as possible and relax.

What will happen throughout the Lash appointment?

It'll begin with a lash consultation, analysing your face and eyes to identify the lash style that will suit you best. After your lashes have been cleaned, dried and brushed, your lower lashes will be taped down to keep them out of the way, and your upper eyelid will be taped in place too. Lauren will map out the lash style and then work through applying the extensions, using very sharp tweezers so it is important to keep very still. Once completed, a bonder will be applied (this means you are able to get them wet straight away) and your lashes will be dried and brushed. Then finally the big reveal.

Will the Eyelash Extension appointment be painful?

Absolutely not! But it is important to remember that the adhesive and lash products used do give off fumes which can cause irritation if your eyes are not kept shut. Your Eyelash Extension appointment should be completely pain free. We just need you to keep still and keep those eyes shut. It may feel a little strange at first, but you will soon get used to it and many clients fall asleep which goes to show just how relaxing your appointment can be.

What else should you know prior to your Eyelash appointment?

It's always great to have a catch up and anyone that has visited Lauren before will know she loves to chat! However, to get the most out of your lash appointment it is best to have peace and quiet so that Lauren can concentrate on the very precise work that is required. Keep your phone volume off so nothing will disturb you. Lauren is working with tweezers near your eyes, after all!

And relax!

The most important thing is for you to just enjoy a bit of ‘you time’! There will be a blanket if needed to help you feel even more cosy and Lauren will be happy to play whatever music you wish, just ask! It’s perfectly fine to have a little nap – then you’ll wake up not only feeling refreshed, but also with gorgeous new lashes!
